Mahindra XEV 9S – Upcoming 7-Seater All-Electric SUV

On November 27, the Mahindra XEV 9S will be unveiled in India at the brand’s “Scream Electric” event in Bengaluru.

With the introduction of the XEV 9S, a brand-new full-size electric SUV with seven seats, Mahindra & Mahindra is all set to up its electric game. The XEV 9S will make its world debut on November 27 at Mahindra’s “Scream Electric” event in Bengaluru. It will be one year since the XUV.e8 and BE.05 concepts were Mahindra’s first attempts to demonstrate its electric vision.

The brand’s first “authentic” seven-seat born-electric SUV is the new SUV that is designed and engineered entirely around the INGLO skateboard platform, which is the foundation of Mahindra’s most recent EV lineup. The XEV 9S, in contrast to conversions of ICE models, has been designed from the ground up to be electrified, resulting in a cabin with a flat floor and exceptional interior flexibility, according to the brand.

The SUV has a low center of gravity, a stable ride, and a lot of space for passengers and luggage thanks to its skateboard-like design. In addition, Mahindra has hinted at clever packaging solutions like sliding seats in the second row, which will target high levels of comfort and convenience for all occupants, particularly families.

The company describes the XEV 9S as a vehicle made for those who “live large.” We have been referring to the Mahindra XEV 9S as the XEV 7e in recent months and is derived from the XUV.e8 concept. Judging by the test prototypes, it takes plenty of inspiration from the said concept in terms of design and appeal as well as the XUV700.

The Mahindra XEV 9S will become the homegrown SUV maker’s first-ever three-row zero-emission offering and it will be available with two battery options. We expect the same battery packs utilised in the XEV 9e and BE 6 to be offered with the upcoming model which may also get a six-seater layout.
